ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Effective Date: 29 May 2026 · Document Version: 1.0
In 60 seconds. Tamreen aims for everyone — including people with disabilities — to be able to use our app, website, and Legal Center. We target conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This statement explains what's already in place, where we know we have gaps, and how to tell us when something doesn't work for you.
1. Standards we target
We aim to meet the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, across the Tamreen website, mobile app, and Legal Center, and to follow the four core principles: perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
2. Current state
As of the effective date above, the Legal Center is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Conformance is being audited and improved on an ongoing basis. The following accessibility features are already in place:
- Semantic HTML with landmark regions (header, main, aside, footer).
- Bilingual Arabic (RTL) and English (LTR) versions of every legal document.
- Visible focus indicators and a minimum touch-target size on interactive elements.
- Respect for the user's
prefers-reduced-motionsetting. - Keyboard navigation across navigation, search, and document content.
- Color contrast for body text intended to meet or exceed 4.5:1.
- Resizable text without loss of content or function up to 200%.
3. Known gaps we are working on
We are actively working on the following items:
- A "skip to main content" link on every page.
- A formal third-party audit and remediation report.
- Closed captions and transcripts for all video Program Content in the mobile app.
- Improved screen-reader experience for the document sidebar and version strip.
- A high-contrast theme toggle in the Legal Center.
- Per-document plain-language summaries (already in progress).
4. Compatibility with assistive technology
The Legal Center is designed to be used with current versions of modern browsers and major screen readers (VoiceOver on iOS and macOS, TalkBack on Android, NVDA and JAWS on Windows). If you encounter a barrier with a specific combination of assistive technology and browser, please report it so we can prioritize a fix.
5. Report an accessibility issue
If something on Tamreen does not work for you, please tell us. Email legal@Mytamreen.com with: a short description of the issue, the page or screen where it occurs, the device, browser, and assistive technology you are using, and any expected outcome. We will acknowledge receipt within two (2) business days and aim to provide a substantive response within fifteen (15) business days. Where a fix takes longer, we will explain the timeline.
6. Alternative ways to access content
If you need a legal document in a different format (large print, plain-text email, or a recorded audio summary), email legal@Mytamreen.com and we will provide it at no charge in a reasonable time.
7. Review of this statement
We review this statement at least once every twelve (12) months and after every material change to the Legal Center or the Tamreen app. The latest version, with a record of changes, is available in the Changelog.
